Abstract :
This year INFOCOM will be celebrating its 24th anniversary. Recent advances in wired and wireless communications and networking technologies have created unprecedented new possibilities, across the spectrum of human endeavors, and will continue to offer great opportunities for economic growth and social prosperity. As our reliance on communication and networking systems continues to grow, so is our need to deal ´vith a host of issues and challenges, some of which were known and became critical as these systems evolved and others arose recently as a result of the increase in their scale, heterogeneity and complexity. This year´s conference focuses on a broad range of these issues and challenges and weaves??them through the keynotes, workshops, tutorials and technical programs.
