Abstract :
The paper describes the design of a hyperfast switching Peltier cooling system which is proposed to be used as a benchmark for the identification and modelling of complex, interconnected systems. The structure of the system is described and the experiments conducted in obtaining the datasets are explained. It is hoped that this system will form a useful benchmark where different identification and modelling approaches can be compared based on a consistent set of performance measures, and important lessons learnt from these comparisons.
