Abstract :
A real-time region growing algorithm is presented for subsequent use in image segmentation, image restoration, and target tracking. The importance of this algorithm is that it is a real-time technique with possible hardware implementation and its ability to operate on noisy and complex images. The algorithm is tested on a variety of complex images with different levels of illumination
