Abstract
The features of and the problems encountered in the use of microwaves are examined. It also shown that a point-to-point access scheme with forward error correction (FEC) is effective in making outage-free microwave links. Supporting tools on personal computers for reducing manpower in setting up microwave links are proposed. Finally, a network based on a combination of microwaves and fibers is proposed
