Abstract :
Gauge and tension control for a tandem cold rolling mill represent a complex problem of interactive controls. Proven solutions are well established but still leave room for improvement. Latest techniques involve the use of pseudo mass-flow controls in addition to traditional feed-forward and feedback methods.
