Abstract :
A number of systems are discussed that would utilize the potentially vast communications capacity and rapid frequency reuse available in the millimeter-wave frequencies. New system concepts are explored from a spectrum requirement point of view with the conclusion that, with careful system planning, they will be viable. The low-cost technology that is needed before the domestic market can be addressed is discussed
