Abstract :
We propose a method to synthesize optical 8PSK with linear phasor trajectory by using a quad-parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator, where BPSK signals are linearly superposed to form 8PSK. Modulation and demodulation of 30-Gb/s 8PSK are demonstrated.
