Abstract
A contemporary Renaissance in document production influences the way I perform tasks as a senior writer and editor for a semiconductor manufacturer. An increased understanding of human perception returns the focus of document production to human interests and values. As such, my work as a writer and editor is more clearly than ever before an effort to produce documents directed to my readers. I speak to my specific audiences, trying to achieve their frame of reference. For illustration, I present a project to redesign a quarterly corporate newsletter to shareholders
