Abstract :
The paper presents the initial findings from our study on two strategies for integrating Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) with wind turbines to best compensate for wind power output fluctuations. Synergies of the CAES and the Wind Turbine (WT) were explored and the whole interconnected system mathematical model is derived. In this study, power compensation efficiency analysis was conducted to determine which connection strategy will benefit manufacturers and users the most.
