Abstract :
In recent years, the irresistible trend of economic globalization, networking and intellectualization has brought unprecedented impact onto the current business scale, organizational structure and business process in corporations. Therefore, great challenges and opportunities both emerged. With the telecom competitive landscape changing and the communications technology developing, China´s telecom market has shifted from the seller´s to the buyer´s. Moreover, the arrival of 3G is injecting vitality to China´s information services. Series of industrial policies have triggered structure optimization and reorganization, but also made the Chinese telecom companies face the changing situation more various than ever. How to “victory in changing” becomes an urgent problem of decision-makers to explore and solve. In this paper, we introduce the complex adaptive system, review the development of organizational adaptability, analyze the complex adaptability of telecom operators, and discuss the factors which impact the telecom organization adaptability. According to the analysis, the main factors are organizational mood, communication, staff role, leadership, knowledge. Also we use the empirical research method to statistically analyze 215 questionnaires from different telecom companies and confirm the hypothesis according to the previous analysis. Finally, this paper gives the strategies to improve the adaptability of telecom operators in order to maintain continuing power for development.
