Abstract :
The advances in computer communications including Web technologies bring more attention in intellectual property right management. The computer communication standardization witnesses the evolution of the intellectual property right management. It is tightly coupled with communication engineering in the view of technology eco-systems. The changes on the computer communication standardization process reflect the shift in the structure of the computer communications, with the awareness of the service and application integration. The past research on intellectual rights ignored this aspect, focusing on the technology invention process, not the technology acceptance process including standardization and third-party service impacts. The author proposes a 4-stage intellectual property right evolution model, which highlights the computer communication structure evolution issues as the usual legal and technical ones
