Abstract :
The issues of quality of service (QoS) in IP-based NGN (next generation network) are of the greatest importance today. Introduction of QoS framework for the NGN would help operators to foster its networks from current intradomain QoS to the global QoS assurance. The DiffServ architecture is expected to become a key QoS assurance technique for the NGN at different levels. The paper proposes DiffServ domains hierarchy principle that can be employed for the public packet-switched network (PPSN) QoS assurance across multiple domains, and the QoS plane framework that represents an overlay graph of the interdomain QoS
