Abstract
This paper reports on the femtosecond nonlinear refractive response in As2S3-based glass fibers, and the use of small core fibers with large refractive index differences for reducing switching power. We also demonstrate all-optical switching in a 100-GHz pulse train using a laser diode as a gate pulse source
