Abstract :
Relationship between the construct of task performance and non-task performance is a interesting topic in human resource management and the construct of non-task performance has further developed on the construct of performance. Within the past 100 years, several studies have used the OCB, PCB, extra-role behavior, personality and trait to clarify and delineate the construct of non-task performance. This paper introduces several different theories and assumptions on the relationship between the construct of task performance and non-task performance, and points out some problems existing in these studies. Based on the previous studies, we suggest our own model on the construct of task performance and non-task performance.
