Abstract :
We show numerically that the nonlinear tolerance of a 112-Gb/s polarization-division-multiplexed coherent optical OFDM signal in inline-dispersion-compensated transmission can be substantially improved by a joint self-phase-modulation compensation scheme, particularly when optimized dispersion maps are used.
