Abstract
Summary form only given. In this paper, we present a novel method of achieving adaptive notch filtering using the photorefractive effect in conjunction with an acoustooptic deflector. The frequency of the interference can be unknown, and it does not even have to be temporally stable as long as it falls within the bandwidth of the device. We demonstrate experimentally that our device will achieve 40 dB interference cancellation in a completely adaptive way
