Abstract :
The authors present a method for the surface segmentation of long bone structures from 3D CT images using a deformable contour model. The structural property of the elongated structures allows the authors to use the resulting contour to initialize the process in the following transversal slice. The presented results show the relevance and the efficiency of the method
