Abstract :
This paper presents a method for automatic generation of FAPs (facial animation parameters) based on a video sequence. An FAP generating unit compares an animated face with the original face in the video sequence. The difference is iteratively minimized to produce an optimal set of FAPs. The resulting FAPs are accurate and the animated face is lifelike and truthful to the original video.
