Abstract :
In this work two Electromagnetic Bandgap Structures have been integrated with Rectangular Microstrip Patch Antenna for the purpose of antenna size reduction and gain enhancement. The effect of EBG structures on performance of patch antenna have been studied using EM simulators; Zeland IE3D and HFSS. The experimental results were in accordance with simulation results
