Abstract
The aim of this paper is to characterize the indoor channel for 802.11b/g wireless local area networks at 2.4 GHz frequency. It presents a channel model based on measurements conducted in commonly found scenarios in buildings. These scenarios include corridors, classroom, and a faculty room. Path loss equations are determined using COST multiwall and ITU indoor attenuation model. The Root mean square error and the coefficient of regression values for each access point and scenarios are calculated to prove the validity of the optimum values obtain from MATLAB@ curve fitting tool box, command line.
