Abstract :
Digital watermarking which hides the binary information in the digital multimedia files is an effective method for copyright protection. We propose a new algorithm that hides the binary information in perceptually significant tonal components and non-tonal components. The quantization index modulation (QIM) algorithm is applied to embed the watermark in these perceptually significant components. The experimental results show that the proposed watermarking algorithm gives a high recovery rate after the attack by commonly used audio data manipulations, such as digital-analog conversion, low-pass filtering, and lossy audio compression.
