Abstract :
Highly sensitive incoherent multilevel signaling is demonstrated with the sensitivity nearly comparable to coherent detection, and a 160-km SMF transmission of pre-distorted 40-Gbit/s 16-QAM signal without optical dispersion compensation is also performed.
