PC guided design methods such as numerical simulation techniques are widely used in engineering field, which explores a new way for designing. In geotechnical engineering, rock jointed slope are widely existed, whose stability is the main content for design and construction. Due to the complicated mechanism between rock mass and its reinforcement elements, like rock bolts, the former stability analysis method such as limit equilibrium method will damage the accuracy of the design results for it need some assumption during analysis. So it is necessary to find other methods, in which numerical calculation results are integrals of reflections in small units, whose behavior is exactly based on the classical mechanical theory, so it is reasonable to use numerical simulation techniques in designing of geotechnical engineering, just as long as the simulation models are close to the real situation. In the present paper, first, the numerical model is founded by FLAC3D to simulate the procedure of excavation in rock slope, the relationship between the thickness of joint plane and the stability of slope is studied as well as the relationship between the bolts parameters and stability of slope. Some useful conclusions are obtained to give guidance for the real practice.
