A novel approach of modelling using input-output experimental data pairs is presented for modelling of chemical oxygen demand values in a bay. In this way, singular value decomposition (SVD) method is used in conjunction with parameters incorporated in such complex system. The obtained model shows very good agreement with the testing experimental data pairs which have been unforeseen during the training process. The approach of this paper can be generally applied to model very complex real-world processes using appropriate experimental data.
