Abstract
It has been shown that presence of DR1 molecules affects the α relaxation behaviour of a host polymer in such a way that the distribution of relaxation times becomes wider, the dielectric constant and the dielectric strength increase, while the dopant shows a definite plasticizing effect. It has been found that the PS/DR1 system is not a thermoreologically simple one. It is probable therefore that the β processes in polystyrene influence relaxation behavior of the chromophore molecules at sub-Tg temperatures
