  • Abstract
An approach using MATLAB Simulink to modelling the benchmark data from a hyperfast switching Peltier cooling system is described. The overall system consists of three subsystems. Sufficient prior information was available to devise a model of the first subsystem, and the second was then modelled using the prior knowledge that it is very nearly linear. A trial and error approach was then taken to model the third subsystem, with the outputs of the first two subsystems being combined via linear dynamic blocks to give a good match to the frequency spectrum and time response of the actual data.
