Abstract :
This paper presents comparison results between measurements using mechanical-stirring and source-stirring techniques in a reverberation chamber. Three criteria (S21 scatter plot, log normalized received power cumulative distribution function (CDF) plot, and the number of independent samples calculated from each data set) are used in the determination of the source-stirring method effectiveness. The results show that source-stirring is capable of producing good statistics and is comparable to the standard mechanical-stirring technique that is often employed in reverberation chamber measurements.
