Abstract :
The focus of this paper is to demonstrate the electronic implementation of the basic elements of a fuzzy inference engine, which is the heart of a fuzzy system. These elements include: (1) the basic algebraic operations SUMMATION, SUBTRACTION, MULTIPLICATION, and DIVISION; (2) the basic fuzzy operations-AND, OR, and COMPLEMENT; (3) the basic t-norm and s-norm functions; and (4) a center-average defuzzifier. It is shown that each of these elementary blocks can be constructed of basic electronic components (operational amplifiers and diodes) and electric circuit elements (resistors and capacitors). The simulation and evaluation of these fuzzy electronics is performed using SPICE
