  • Abstract
    This paper explore the performance of Particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm for solving combined heat and power dispatch(CHPD) or cogeneration problem of power system. The PSO algorithm has been very flourishing in a wide array of optimization problems. The method is illustrated using a test case of combined heat and power dispatch problem taken from the literature. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed PSO algorithm can be proficient substitute lying on solving combined heat and power dispatch problems.
