Abstract :
This paper discusses about the characteristics of magnetic field. Experiments are run to examine the received signal strength in soil and metals and compare the rate of attenuation of magnetic field to that of electromagnetic wave. The results reveal that magnetic field has much lower path loss than electromagnetic wave.
