Abstract
Grippers used in laparoscopic interventions do not meet all the needs a surgeon has. With a design kit to build customised grippers with selective laser sintering (SLS), fast development of grippers could help to overcome limitations and with many iterations improve the existing solutions. In order to create such a kit, its elements need to be understood and mathematically described. In this Paper small elements made from polyamid (PA) with SLS are deformed and their deformation is compared to different mathematical modelling approaches.
