Abstract :
A compact dual-band antenna with modified open U-shaped slot is proposed. The antenna is mainly composed of a patch with modified open U-shaped slot and a T-shaped feed line. The dual-band characteristic is obtained by folding the upper strips of the patch. The proposed antenna is fabricated and tested. The measured results show that the proposed antenna covers 2.38-2.52 GHz and 5.0-6.1 GHz with S11<;-10 dB, which can meet the requirement of WLAN applications. Detail designs and parameters can be investigated in this paper.
