Abstract :
We give a first time demonstration of a high performance 1.25 Gbit/s GPON burst-mode uplink exceeding the ITU-T G.984 recommendation and supporting power leveling mechanism (PLM). A burst-mode receiver sensitivity of -31.6 dBm was achieved with a dynamic range of 21.9 dB.
