Abstract :
A novel transverse magnetic (TM) mode dielectric resonator and its filter realization are proposed for mobile communication system miniaturization applications. Single dielectric resonator and an eight-pole filter with three-transmission-zeros are modeled and designed for desired specification by using efficient optimization technique. About 30% horizontal dimensions are saved comparing with the common coaxial filter. Excellent filter responses are obtained and measured.
