Abstract :
A method of designing a wideband lead-inserted Ridge waveguide to coaxial transition has been introduced. The structure of the transition is designed using 1/4 wavelength Chebyshev impedance matching method. The dimension of the minor transition have been calculated by this way, and making a simulation of the model by the High frequency simulation software-HFSS. The simulation results show that the VSWR of the transition is below 1.25 in 18 ~ 40GHz range.
