Abstract
A new physical realization of an elliptic function filter response is proposed for achieving compact size, wide spurious free stop-band and high-selectivity performance. The filter configuration is implemented by Ridged-SIW embedded in a multilayer low-temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) structure, which can be easily integrated in a chip module. To validate the concept, two elliptic filters with different input/output coupling structures, micro-strip line coupling and CPW coupling, are designed. The results are verified with the measurements of two filters.
