Abstract :
A 1.25-Gbit/s burst-mode optical receiver for access networks was developed. We devised transimpedance amplifier (TIA) and limiting amplifier (LIM) circuits using a PIN-PD instead of an APD, and the receiver exhibits high sensitivity of -30 dBm.
