Abstract :
Survivability on WDM networks is very critical for network provider to deliver guaranteed services to the customers. In this paper, we consider a more realistic condition that the service requester have the freedom of mobility under the WDM backbone and dynamic traffic environment. To overcome the new moving failure model resulted from the mobility, we propose several time-saving protection and configuration mechanisms. The applicability of segmented and group protection scheme is also discussed. The performance parameters to be observed in simulation studies include the SRWA acceptance ratio and capacity utilization compared with ILP optimization solution
