Abstract :
In the present paper a flexible computer aided control engineering environment is illustrated which has been developed to model, simulate and evaluate correctness and performance of distributed real-time control systems. The computer aided design (CAD) system has the capability to allow customization of representation formalisms and to separate the definition (and debugging) of a control algorithm from that of the communication mechanisms among tasks and processors, specific of a target architecture. An accurate data structure and data manipulation functions definitely reduce designer´s effort when facing complex control problems
