Abstract :
Taking into account the spectrum efficiency and the number of base stations, micro cells are suitable for high traffic areas and macro cells for lightly loaded areas. Therefore, a service area that contains not only high traffic areas, but also light traffic areas, should be composed of both micro and macro cells. This paper shows the optimum micro-macro cell structure which minimizes the number of base stations under a specific spectrum efficiency
