Abstract :
Recent investigations by the authors have suggested the use of coplanar waveguide (CPW) driven slots as the most suitable surface wave launchers for monolithic fabrication in the millimetre regime. In this paper, an attempt is made to establish the theoretical foundation for operation of a slab beam power combiner. Accordingly, we investigate the surface wave power excited by a slot dipole on the ground plane of a grounded multilayer dielectric slab.
