Abstract :
The major health and environmental issues impacting the core businesses of the electrical insulation industry over the next several years are examined Issues discussed include the new Clean Air Act, new Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules, waste management, and global influences. It is concluded that successful business in the 90s will build health and environmental issues into their development plans, because such issues usually dictate where products can be manufactured, sold, and used. Only by developing an internal product stewardship program will a business be able to effectively address the regulatory issues it faces
