  • Abstract
In this paper, a fuzzy recognition system is established to achieve the identification and classification of scallops. Image edges were detected by the canny operator after the original images being processed to gray image and binary image. To build the fuzzy system, mean and variance of the distance between the edge and the center of target were calculated as input, and the object category as the output of the fuzzy system, and four fuzzy rules were established Based on analysis in the scallop image. The experimental results show that the proposed method is really effective.
