  • Abstract
The interaction of two counter-propagating transverse-electric (TE) waves in the absorbing plate, placed in a regular ideal waveguide with arbitrary cross-section, is considered. Supposed, that two coherent waves have different initial phases. The losses of energy of two counter-propagating waves in the plate are calculated. Some features of the physical phenomenon of interference absorption in the absorbing plate in the waveguide are revealed.
