  • Abstract
The antennas for the millimeter-wave integrated photonic transmitter employed for future multi-gigabit wireless communication are presented. Specifically, a traditional W-band horn antenna fed with a dipole-based waveguide excitation structure, as well as a W-band Quasi-Yagi phased array antenna is demonstrated. Also, the design of a dielectric resonator phased array antenna at W-band is presented. The proposed antenna designs aim for an easy integration with the front-end circuitry of the transmitter. The effectiveness of the proposed W-band horn antenna and Quasi-Yagi phased array designs is experimentally demonstrated.
