Abstract :
Novel slot-loaded circular microstrip antennas, with bandwidth enhancement operation, have been proposed and experimentally studied. The proposed broadband design can be easily achieved by properly adjusting the narrow rectangular slot´s length to be 1.2-1.38 times the radius of the circular patch. The obtained impedance bandwidth of the proposed design reaches more than 2.3 times that of the conventional circular microstrip antenna.
