Abstract :
The authors present m-valued current-mode adders for the sum of two (three and four) digits in the binary stored carry number system that use the smallest set of values for the positional sum. They are based on the m-valued-to-binary current-mode converters. The implementation of multioperand additions using these adders compared with the usual binary implementation gives the basis for the evaluation of performance of m-valued current-mode circuits in various technologies
