            Abstract : 
The new ideas to demonstrate high refractive index, both positive and negative, of metamaterials are proposed. By connecting an existing natural materials as extra rectangular and prism part with the conventional wedge the new models can boost the wedge angle up by 4 degrees and 8 degrees. With the wedge angle and the extra material index fixed at 12 degrees and 3, the rectangular and the prism model can demonstrate metamaterials of n = +/-7, and n = +/-14, respectively. Furthermore, by using numerical model, tested metamaterials can have extremely high index.
