Abstract
As to the issue of how the project-oriented enterprise can select the fitting project from the large number of projects, the author puts forward a new selection method from a unique point of view, which is how the selected projects match the parenting organization. It is based on the parenting advantage theory. It takes the critical success factors of investment projects into consideration, integrates the constraint conditions of organization, and then applies the Matching matrix method to evaluate and select selected projects after analyzing the parenting opportunity and the characteristics of the parent, with a purpose to illustrate that the Heartland project selected through this process can not only make full use of parenting opportunity to create value but also preferably cater to the enterprise strategic goals.
