Abstract
In this research we studied the characteristics of printed Hilbert antenna. The dependence of the resonant frequency and input impedance of printed Hilbert antenna on the various parameters are studied and design curves are obtained. Current distribution along the printed Hilbert antennas of different orders is compared with current distribution along a printed dipole to examine the mechanism of the miniaturization. The miniaturization capability of the printed Hilbert antenna is quantified by comparing its dimension to printed dipole for different resonant frequencies.
